How to Heal a Broken Wing Bob Graham
We think the theme of this story is kindness because the little boy named Will showed kindness to the bird that broke it's wing by finding it on the ground when nobody else looked down. He also was kind because he took it home and helped it heel its wing. That was very nice of him. He was also patient with the bird and waited for its wing to heel before releasing it. This book makes us think we can do what Will did and much more if we try.

We think the theme is kindness because every time she came home whimpering but her parents said nice things to Chrysanthemum to make her feel better.Mrs. Twinkle was being nice to Chrysanthemum because she would have Chrysanthemum as her baby name.The meanies stop being mean to Chrysanthemum after Mrs. Twinkle told them her FULL name.Her parents are showing kindness because they are making her feel better by a game plus food!Mrs.Twinkle was being nice because she would have Chrysanthemum as her baby's name so Jo,Victoria and Rita stoped being mean after Mrs.Twinkle starts to share imformation about her self!(Just her name)

I think the theme is kindness because Velvet and you are a human. Even if Velvet is ugly (Her eyes are small and her mouth is big)doesn't mean you have to be harsh on her! And we can't blame her because of her genes so pretty much she's just like you. There's no reason to be harsh! All ways be kind! Even if someone's not like you it doesn't effect the stats of Velvet at all! And another reason why she got bullied was because she was very old! Plus she draws apples very well which is why the bullies stopped being mean.
